Lasagne

I was hungry, and wanted something filling that would cook whilst I conducted a little bike maintainence. I started off by heating up milk, cornflour, and cheddar cheese very slowly in one pan.

On a much hotter hob, I started to fry a thinly sliced red onion – adding a splash of water when it began to stick – followed by frozen sliced peppers, frozen minced beef, basil, black pepper, garlic, and tomato puree. When it was nicely cooked, I added some water and let it cook for about 10 minutes.

Into a dish I put in a layer of the beef sauce, then two sheets of lasagne (broken up to fit properly) followed by the cheese sauce. Then broken up green peppercorns and parmesan cheese. In the oven on 200C for about 30 minutes, it came out deliciously crispy on top and moist inside. I enjoyed it with a nice beer and some petit pois.
