Sun blushed

I’ve never quite worked out the difference between sun-blushed tomatoes and sun-dried tomatoes, but these ones were the blushed variety. I had them on a sandwich with a white Stilton containing mango and ginger. The collection of flavours was surprising in that none drowned out the other (probably a coincidence with the balance of ingredients). The bread was a deliciously grainy wholewheat brown and for texture and moisture, I added lettuce and the vaguest hint of cranberry and onion chutney. Eaten by a roasting fire, toasting my toes and with orange juice and lemonade, an excellent breakfast.
