Pesto bread and ham sarnie

At least, it was called pesto bread in the shop. To me, it tasted more like a combination of sage, parsley and liquorice, along with the usual excellent crusty fresh bread that we’ve come to expect from the bakery of Booths. I ate a slice of it (just one) with a delicious half slice of honey-roast ham (fat removed) bought at the delicatessen in Settle and some lettuce on top. I forgot to add seasoning, but with the flavoured bread, I was relieved, after having completed the long trek from kitchen to lounge, to note I didn’t need it!
